Alright fellow '01 grads, we've finally gotten organized with this whole 10-year reunion business. Can you believe it's already been 10 years!?! Wow, time sure does fly!
So here's how everything works:
First, now that you've made it to this site, we need you to become a "follower." Just click the "follow" button on the left side of this page and follow the instructions. This is solely so that we can keep track of everyone who knows about this blog, and continue to search for and contact those that do not. If we don't know who's viewed this blog, we don't know who we still need to find and contact, thus becoming a "follower" is crucial to making sure as many as possible of our fellow graduates get this information.
P.S. Please don't become an anonymous follower because our goal with this is to keep track of your names :)
Second, this blog is where you'll receive up to date information of what's going on with the planning of our reunion. It's a place where you can either leave comments (at the bottom of each post) or e-mail us directly with concerns or suggestions. Feel free to voice your opinion. Being that there are a lot of us out there, we may not get to please everyone, but we'll sure try and your (constructive) comments and suggestions are always welcome.
Third, we've set up a Paypal account on this blog and it's directly linked to a separate bank account we've opened specifically for our reunion funds. There is a Paypal button on the left and clicking on it will allow you to pay for your ticket. As of right now, this is the only way to pay for your reunion ticket. If you do not wish to pay this way, please contact us and we'll try to find other arrangements. The ticket cost is $50 and is for you and up to one guest. We will be keeping a guest list on the bottom of the page, so as your ticket purchases are made we will add you +1 guest to the list as an additional confirmation of your purchase. (edited to add: names added to the guest list will be in the name listed on the PayPal purchase receipt, so please make sure if you are paying with a significant other's card or PayPal account that you let us know.) Please make your ticket purchase ASAP because those purchases are what's determining our reunion budget. We will not be spending money from our own pockets to fund this reunion, so the sooner tickets are purchased, the sooner we can pay for the venue, catering, etc. Some of these things require partial payment up front, but if there's no money to pay for them, then we will be forced to decide on something else, if anything else, given time constraints. However, we're aware that many of you no longer live locally and it may take more time to determine whether or not you'll be attending the reunion. That's fine and understandable, but for those in the area and for those that already know they want to come, please don't delay your ticket purchase.
Fourth, this is the best way we've come up with to reach out to all of you and to stay organized in our reunion planning, but there may be kinks to work out of our system. We ask that as we try our best, you will have patience with us. If, for whatever reason, we need to make any changes to our system we will inform you of exactly what's going on via this blog. Additionally, any updates to this blog will be made known on our Facebook page.
We hope everyone is doing well and look forward to seeing you all again this summer!
